Fabrication on Multiple Decks

For cruising from Alaska to Mexico, this highly customized Hatteras sport-fisher needed additional freezer space to store provisions.

Glacier’s challenge was working on multiple decks in the conception, design, fabrication and installation of multiple systems.

To maximize volume of the completed component, Glacier utilized vacuum insulating panel technology. R-values equal to 4” of regular insulation were achieved with 3/4” panels.

Glacier designed a double stainless steel freezer built into a custom fiberglass console for the upper deck. The Boxes can either be run as freezers or refrigerators, and are powered by a Glacier condensing unit mounted 15 feet below the sport fisher’s utility room.
