I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where were you able to get your pair?
I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast – definitely a bonus
How expensive are they?
When I grabbed my pair in April, I paid just under $390, but their standard price is around $514.
You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and seventeen hundred depending men’s golden gooses on their design features.
How does the sizing run?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they reduce sweat. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just get comfortable fast.
How do they perform over time?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Because they already look worn, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
These are the best sneakers I own. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them discounted is smarter. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I chose a loud pair, but a low-key version would also go with everything.

How do they perform over time?
